Are you LUCKY or what?

Hello People... been a while I posted. I'm sorry..I'll try to post more, lets hope I get inspired often!

Anyways back to business, this post was inspired out of my passion to encourage and I also saw the opportunity from a post from my feed on IG (follow me @arabydara) where you can email (qcmentoring@gmail.com) to help mentor the young QC girls. As a QCOG I was delighted because I'm a strong believer that your background moulds you, just as your present is currently moulding your future. So invest in these future leaders people :)

Before I get into another topic loll, do you ever look at some people and think wow is this person lucky or what? everything just looks perfect for them! right? Well.. that's possible as I haven't done enough scientific research to prove otherwise after all there are some lucky people like; million dollars lottery winners. I am however not a believable of luck. I believe if you want to be lucky, you must work the odds in your favour! So for instance you want to be a successful business woman/man, if you are not naturally gifted with the necessary business skills (yes we all have our gifts), and even if you are gifted; you must harness the skills, gather knowledge and gain wisdom to apply the skills and knowledge resourcefully.

In order to be LUCKY, you must do the extra effort. You research all the information you need, network at the right places and do the needful; eventually you will get a break if you don't give up! When you then eventually get your break, you will be well equipped, prepared and most likely consistent and thereby increasing your chances of overtime success. You will be able to maintain the success because of the continuos efforts you have put in the past. This is usually when people who see you in your glory but don't know your story are quick to say loads of nonsense; like you are just lucky!. You don't need to worry yourself at this point because now that you have the opportunity to manifest what you have been preparing for, you have to be focused. Listen! you didn't go through all the humbling period just to let the naysayers bring you down. pay them no mind they are the "necessary evil" because you can use their bitterness as a motivation to never give up. In this case we can clearly surmise Luck, equals Preparedness meeting Opportunity (Oprah)

However what happens when you keep going and you are working hard but you don't seem to get a break? in this situation you have to be genuine with yourself. Ask yourself these questions, Am I really doing the best? what else can I do to improve? where and what are the unknown about this situation? what can I do to bridge the gap of the unknown? and most importantly pray to God for guidance. If you genuinely know there is nothing else you can do, you may need to ask yourself if you are truly chasing what you really want? if not start going for what you are more passionate about. Please remember no knowledge is wasted, even if it feels like you have failed, you haven't because you would have learnt character traits like hard work, discipline, commitment which are transferable skills and therefore will help you succeed you throughout life.

Never be idle and lazy about your life; thinking everyone else is lucky but you, wont make your situation change. Do your very best and leave the rest to God. Please note going to pray 20hours a day isn't doing your best, except you have a goal of being a spiritual leader or something related to that. It is actually you being lazy and avoiding the responsibility of dealing with what you can actually do. Hoping for a miracle to drop on your laps without you doing your part; may mean you may not be able to keep the miracle for long. As you are not prepared hence the possibility of not knowing what to do to consistently keep it. For instance you have been praying to be a personal trainer and you don't necessarily work out much. Fortunately the opportunity to be one came up because a nearby gym urgently needs one for whatever reason. If you keep getting tired while training clients, there is the possibility the people will complain about you to management thereby causing you to lose your job as the company has to satisfy its customers to maintain profit. This will however be the opposite if you are a very competent personal trainer with agility, there is the possibility of success in the latter case.

In conclusion if Luck is real that's totally fine but do NOT wait on it to be successful, take charge of your life and do your part to be successful! (Dara Odunlami Neri, 2015)
